This digital agricultural policy database was developed by the Simpson Centre as part of the Alberta Digitalization Agriculture (ABDIAG) Program, an initiative funded by the Alberta Government. The ABDIAG program identifies challenges and opportunities for digitalization of Canadian agriculture, including fostering data management best practices, developing policy recommendations, and enhancing transparency in the agri-food space.
Since its creation on February 7, 2020, the Simpson Centre has been on a mission to strengthen and support Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sectors through focused, evidence-based, and practical policy analysis on trade, the environment, and innovation. The Centre develops timely and relevant studies and applied research on key areas of impact: agriculture and environment, agriculture and economics, and agriculture and society.
This database of agricultural policies across global jurisdictions will be updated periodically.
